Perks for the Flock (and more dates)
Hey Everyone! First, thanks so much for the continued support on this project. As always, I want to hear from you about what you find valuable or what you might like to see in this space. Leave a comment or shoot me a direct message.
This week in the TourMentorship Program there has been a lot of discussion about how you get good info about current conditions beyond some of the basic snow reports, etc. Tonight in the (Feb. 17th session), I'm going to talk about some of my processes for keeping up with conditions in several venues. But it also prompted me to start a WhatsApp Community dedicated to Conditions in the PNW.

For now, I'm going to limit this group to members of this Terrain Talks program (free or paid) and people who have been or currently are in my TourMentorship program. Eventually, I may open this up to a broader community, but we'll see how it goes with this group first. Drop a post in here if you're out and about and have some beta to share. I think a photo with a caption will be the most impactful with minimal spam. Also, use this community to ask questions if you are interested in a zone or route.
Also, I still have the Strava Club set up as a similar type of community if that feels like a better platform for you. I'll do my best to be active in both, but ultimately, the value of these forums will be how engaged you all are with your fellow flockers? birdies? shredders?
https://www.strava.com/clubs/1425790 (I might have to invite you in - let me know if you want in, but can't request an invite via Strava).
Future Terrain Talk Sessions:
Monday, March 9th. 7pm
Tuesday, March 31st. 7pm
Tuesday, April 28th. 7pm
We'll see how the mood and excitement are for a May date. I also hope to get an in-person event schedule here soon as well.
I finally have a Graybird Merch store! Right now, it's just a few print-on-demand products (no inventory management). It's very new, and I have the prices set to almost zero profit while the early birds try out the product. Most things run small, so order up a size. At some point, I'll raise the prices a bit, but give the Flock (the paid tier) a discount, and I hope to get some other items in there as well. Stay tuned, but check it out, and let me know what you think.
On that note, the Flock (paid tier) gets full access to all the Terrain Talk sessions (some go to everyone) as well as access to Member Days (cheapest guiding days - $100/person/day) and some early invites to trips and other random deals I offer up. As a reminder, you can also sign up for one month of the paid tier and binge all previous Terrain Talk sessions (the last one in January was especially good), and I don't want this to be inaccessible to anyone, so just hit me up if cost is an issue for you, and we'll figure something out.
If I do the tech right, below here are some of those paid member perks. Whether you are paying or just at the free member level, I truly appreciate you supporting me and this project. Thank you!
